Cafe Hopping

Hey Everyone!

While having a busy schedule at uni, I wanted to continue sharing with you all about the daily aspects of my life. As you all may know, I decided to stop blogging for a very long time due to not being able to manage the time on my hands efficiently enough having two jobs and being a full time student. However, I have constantly been sharing my day-to-day life on my social media platforms like my Instagram so please follow me so we can connect there as well as here on my blog. Despite being a busy uni student right now, I have decided to share my adventures from the past few months in the posts that I will continue on writing.

So today, as you all may already know I am known as a foodie. Therefore, food is pretty much my life... I spent pretty much all my money just eating and cafe hopping literally whenever I get a chance to do so. I will be sharing with you guys some of my favourite cafes on the Gold Coast.

This cafe is a hip spot with industrial-chic decor offering wholesome, organic Modern Australian food and yoga. Hands down, BSKT Cafe has got to be one of my favourites on the Gold Coast! It offers such a wide range of beverages and foods, despite living quite far to it I still try my best to visit this cafe whenever possible!

Moving on, we started off ordering an Iced Chai Latte and a Matcha Latte. Recently (maybe not so recent, around the past two years....), I have been extremely addicted to Chai Latte. Whenever I visit a cafe for the first time I will always order their Chai, I feel like Chai is honestly either a hit or a miss most of the time as some people either love it or they hate it...

As for the food, we ordered a Salmon Aburi, Tandoori Prawn and some Sweet Potato fries to share. All extremely delicious and despite choosing small portion sizes, the food was fairly filling.

This cafe is definitely one of my favourites! Especially being so close to home it makes it so easy to go there all the time, just around the corner in Chirn Park along with some other hip shops, cafes and a florist next door!

We ordered the Roast Lamb Salad to share. The flavour was very strong but didn't make you feel sick at all, also despite being a salad it was extremely filling!

Daark Espresso are well known for their coffees, indeed does live up to the expectations. Very strong espresso perfectly served as an Iced Coffee since i'm not an extreme coffee lover so i got to have it served with milk and definitely some Vanilla Bean ice-cream.

Grocer & Grind

This cafe is a cool, rustic-chic espresso bar and health food restaurant serving locally-sourced food all day. Unfortunately, after having some previously bad experiences with this place and also hearing about it getting involved with salmonella I was terrified and afraid to go again and plus, it isn't exactly close to home. However, after around a years time I felt like I should give this place another go even though many others will no longer return I feel like everyone deserves a second chance...

After returning, the food was still as good as I remembered. The juices were nice and fresh, the place definitely felt cleaner than before (probably because it isn't as busy anymore...) and the food was extremely delicious as well!

We ordered two juices and also ordered the Caramelised Banana Crepes which were amazing and the Acai Bowl which was a good option for sharing as the portion sizes were quite big!

I really hope you guys enjoyed reading my short post on some of my favourite cafes! I have linked them all to their current websites if you wanted to check them out or even try them out, let me know in the comment box below if you've ever visited these cafes and want to share your thoughts or to purely give me some feedback!

Also, please stay tuned for my next few posts which will be about my trip home back to Taiwan. If you liked this post please share it or comment below if you want me to check out your websites as well! Will be looking forward to hearing from you.
